Emergency ("the app") detects car crashes and calls for help, keeps your medical record, and lets families, schools and companies see where people and vehicles are. That means it handles sensitive information: your location and your health. This page says exactly what we collect, why, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how you delete it. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
What we collect
- Your account: your mobile number (to sign in), your name, and — only if you add them — date of birth, gender, address and photo.
- Identity verification (optional): your national ID number, photos of your ID card and a selfie. The ID number is encrypted, and the photos can only be opened through short-lived links by our verification team.
- Your medical record: blood type, allergies, chronic conditions, medications, implants, organ-donor choice, a critical note (encrypted), and the hospital visits and files you add.
- Your emergency contacts: the names and numbers you add.
- Your location: while protection or location sharing is on, including in the background. Your live position is held for 5 minutes; your movement trail is deleted after 7 days; your last known position is kept until you delete your account, so your family can see where you were last seen.
- Driving and crashes: while driving, the app reads motion sensors on your phone. Sensor readings leave your phone only when a crash is detected, together with the time and place, so the alert can be checked and improved.
- QR scans: when someone scans your bracelet, we record the time, their IP address and approximate area, so we can tell you.
- Your device: phone model, system version and app version, to keep the app working and fix problems.
- Schools and companies: if you drive for one, your position during the trips you start, and the trips themselves. If you are a parent, your child's trip status and your "going / absent today" answers.
- Payments: for business plans, the plan, amount and status. Card and wallet details go directly to our payment provider (Paymob) and never reach our servers.
Who can see it
- In an emergency — a crash you do not cancel, or the SOS button — your emergency contacts, volunteer responders nearby (your exact location only once they agree to come), and partner hospitals and ambulance services covering the area get your location and medical summary.
- Anyone who scans your QR bracelet sees the emergency profile on it. You can pause the code or issue a new one at any time, and you are told about every scan.
- Family and groups see your location only if you share it with them. A parent you accept can see your location until they remove the link.
- Schools and companies see a vehicle's position during a trip. Parents see the bus only while it is on their child's trip, and only their own child's stop — never where other children live.
- Our staff may access accounts for safety, support and verification. Every such access is recorded in an audit log.
- Service providers who run the app for us: hosting and database, file storage, maps, text messages and payments. They process data only to provide their service to us.
How we protect it
All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). National ID numbers and medical notes are encrypted in our database, sign-in sessions are stored only as hashes, files are private and opened through links that expire, and access by our staff is limited and logged. On your phone, sign-in details are kept in encrypted storage, and the app's data is excluded from cloud backups.
Your choices and rights
- Turn location sharing and protection on or off at any time, and choose who you share with.
- See and correct your information in the app, and download a copy of it from Account.
- Delete your account and data at any time — see deleting your account.
Children
Children's accounts are added by a parent, or by their school with a parent's phone number. A parent can see their child's location and trip status, and can remove the link at any time.
